All of the Panasonic G series cameras are very capable - just decide what features suit you - do you want the swivel screen and EVF of the G1/G1 or the smaller form of the GF1/GF2? It's worth thinking about what lens you are putting on it, the GF1 with the 20mm f1.7 would be the most compact option (but it's not tiny) and the best lens for low light. If you are going for the kit zoom then it will add to the bulk of the GF1 and theoverall package will be not much smaller than a G1 with kit lens. If you do get the kit lens then try and get the older 14-45 as it is noticably sharper than the newer 14-42.
