Haha yes ive done my homework on the Sigma and am fully aware of its limitations and shortcomings over other lenses. Thx for all the advice, great people here on WPF.

Your welcome, your doing the right thing by asking advice. Are you a Flickr member? What I do is search for groups of a specific lens I'm interested in, then look at the pool of pictures taken with that lens and also read all the theads relating to it also. A good insight I find. You may already do this, so in that case I'll shut up. :p
