well done John,congratulations....you are my up...you got lovely autumn colours as well as great cloud formation...just a bit grainy though.
Arthur, you are my down, like me not much cloud around at the time....but this week we have lots of storms and plenty of clouds rolling in....isn't it always the way, but you have to go with what is there at the time. |
Well my "up" is DD - it is like a water colour and you could have been flying. It might work as wall art. Likke it! My down is Graham's moody and intimidating shot which I found myself coming back to. Very effective.

My feedback...
Up - Arther's - A New Day - I like this shot al lot. I like the time of day it was shot giving low angled lighting with loads of contrast of the light striking the sides of the building. Muy only suggestion would be to have changed the angle slightly, or cloned out the ariel in the left foreground which I found distracting. Down - Graham's - Ominously framed - Again I like this - lovely moody sky. For me, the tree in front of the building distracts somewhat & I think I would have tried to find an angle to avoid it. |
My ups and downs -
Up - Peter's 'Foreground' - I feel there is a little to much contrast between the sky and the land. The cloud base it lovely, nice fluffy clouds and blue sky, just felt a little more light in the land would have given a more balanced image. Down - John's 'Autumn Clouds' - Liked this from the start. The contrast between the autumn colours and the sky are stunning. and the clouds themselves are moody and tell a story. A deserved winner. |
