I was a Nikon man for 25 years but changed to Canon in 2007; I have never regreted the change. I once had my Nikon 80-200 2.8 SW sent to Nikon in the US to fix a focusing problem, spent a lot on the fix and fed X, when the lens came back, it would only focus from close to infinity but not the other way. I also sent a Nikon 800 flash to be repaired as it was strobing, Nikon gave me a realy high quote so I asked then to return the unit, it turned out that the problem was with the D200 and not the flash, I found this out the hard way by buying a 600 flash that did the same thing. I was happy to sell all my Nikon gear.
