Peter: Though your stated proverb also works just fine for the image, my intention was different but then adding your response to your "Signature":
"One Photograph is worth a Thousand Words "

I am sure you are the clear winner here:)

Congratulation Peter. You are the winner of this round though Mo was almost to solve it too.

OK here goes another but this one needs a bit of imagination to solve:

Tugboat 15-03-16 21:56

is it to rub salt into the wound ?

That sounds like a good shout. I was wondering whether he was a 'seasoned professional'!

Very tangential!

sassan 16-03-16 02:23

All in right direction, yet No. Trena make a second guess in the same line.
Said, it needs to add some element of imagination/ rhyme or likewise, and its going to be easy.

postcardcv 16-03-16 07:14

Maybe 'adding insult to injury'?

Excellent and that was quick. We have a winner.

Two versions and not sure which one is the correct one:

Well Peter game is now on you.

Tugboat 16-03-16 20:46

well done Peter, very clever Sassan.

Was wanting to come up wth something clever but am not failing so here is a snap that will hopefully suggest and obvious saying.

Tugboat 18-03-16 03:58

would that be " the early bird catches the worm" great shot.

Thought it might be too easy... I will have to devise something trickier for next time.

ok, here is my effort

mbkamrani 19-03-16 13:39

Red Cross !

sassan 19-03-16 14:45

I like Mo's suggestion:
"Don't Cross on Red Light"

Tugboat 19-03-16 19:56

no, not red cross or "Don't Cross on Red Light"

sassan 20-03-16 07:09

No nail polish!? May be a hint?

Tugboat 20-03-16 09:03

think about what that stuff actually is ? it's not a precious metal.

graham harcombe 20-03-16 20:11

Is it made of sugar?

no Graham...it is glitter, I thought it was easy..

sassan 20-03-16 22:33

Two guesses:

1- Don't stare into red wine, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly.

2- Don't Ever Let Anything Dull Your Sparkle!

Other than that, really no ideas.

sorry,no... not either of them.

I wonder if this shot may have been a better choice???

sassan 21-03-16 02:49

OK.
I see that it is not about color "Red".
Perhaps about "Gold" as shown in your new image.
In that case how about:
"All that glitters is not gold"?

yep, now you have it,
I should have used that picture to start with!
over to you again Sassan

Hurray!
Ok this one is a bit primitive but I feel its very easy. Of course it is not right in my part to judge. Lets see how quick it is solved:

Tugboat 21-03-16 08:23

what about, pushing up daisies

sassan 21-03-16 14:30

Good try. But no.
There is no sporty activity here and flowers are not daisies. Go easier.

Tugboat 23-03-16 21:29

what about, roses are red, violets are blue...then I don't know what the man is doing, something along those lines?

sassan 24-03-16 02:40

Yes. This has two parts, the first part, always constant as you said, second part changing frequently as google search can show how vast is the variety (At times dangerously) but I guess the more accepted version is:

"Roses are Red
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet and so are you".

But I went the version that says

"I am always happy; when I am with You".

http://i251.photobucket.com/albums/g...redquotes8.gif

So not expecting the second part of the "Say", Trena is officially the winner of this round.
Game is back to you.

thanks Sassan, I would never have guessed the second half of that...
here's another one.

Hummmm.
Not sure if I need to read and decode in Sanskrit/Latin , Hebrew/Arabic, Chines/Japanese or Binary language from which to which side or CW/CCW but don't think the pink color of football player has anything to do with Breast cancer. Not sure if his expression is in line of "Don't" or an emotion either. Now how to add it to high class lens or "Photo" and a doughnut! "Sweet"... I need to think a bit more to digest. May be I need a doughnut and coffee!

Tugboat 30-03-16 09:15

never going to guess that one,I know nothing about football! do I need to know what the arms crossed means?or is it just his expression?

The crossed arms is signalling something relevant but it's not football... I will also say that the lens was specifically chosen and is not just a generic lens.

Gidders 31-03-16 00:16

I've no idea what the answer is but the lens is a Canon 400mm f4 DO lens, we also have a DOughnut & maybe Sassan is right that the footballer's expression/crossed arms signify DOn't but I'm not sure where that leaves us

sassan 31-03-16 01:01

Explanation is helping but as all saying I have no idea either, yet.

To ask again, how do we read this? That is elements of the image are to be put together in left to right / right to left/ Clockwise or counter clockwise order?
