Lunar eclipse

A good photo opportunity tomorrow(sat) night around 8pm with a lunar eclipse, which i believe makes the moon appear reddish,I am certainly gonna have a go,and I`ll post my results.

Hi somert8,

Welcome to the forum.

You may not have found it yet, but there is a massive thread on Photographing the Moon which can be found in the General Photography Technique section. (Sorry I don't know how to make a link to that) Photographing the Lunar eclipse has been discussed there. Good luck with your attempt and let's hope for clear skies.

Well its looking good but I dont think the colour will start to change before 9:30pm. Well thats what the guru tells me. :)

It looks lots better than this pic through a scope but it is very bright. Stevie is holding a red filter over the eyepiece to pick out details she has not seen before.

Latest info shadow is now appearing at the bottom.

Bye for now.
