Thanks Sharon. Some good shots but I didn't think that many of them realy fitted the competition theme "beauty of natural or human invention"

Lots of shots in the galleries here that are equally good and fit the theme so could be worth a punt for some :D

this is being judged by 3rd Nov, so although I can't see an end date for submissions, it must be soon; also multiple entries OK, only just under a thousand so far!:D

That's exactly what I thought! Now, if I can only find one of mine that fits the bill...

We should look in each others gallery and pick one out of each to enter. My favourate of yours Sharon would be your field of textures.

Chose this as having a bit more "invention" in it ;)

may have missed the boat, mine put in on Sat haven't appeared and hardly anything else has since weekend:(

I put the close up of the Foxglove Beautiful but deadly. Maybe mine won't show either.

they are coming through, but in no obvious order, and it is 31st October deadline, so you have a few more hours :)

Gidders, that's a fab picture, really eyecatching. I've uploaded a couple of mine, and I'll be interested to see the winning image! Good luck to all who've entered!

I don't think any of mine made it through, there is none for the date I uploaded, never mind alway another time.

Don't despair Christine, as I said, they don't come up in any particular order, they must shake the bag, or as quickly as they indicate; try a search using one of your keywords

daedal, I did a search with all the tags I put on but came up with nothing. I noticed one or two other people have had to upload again as thiers wasn't on either they mentioned it in there description. I am not bothered. Like I said there is always next time.

The competition is now closed and the winner will be announced on the 18th Nov. Neither mine nor Mario's is showing in any of the searches.I must have done something wrong when I posted the photos.

Hmmm, my entries (uploaded on the 31st Oct) are showing up....

The photos I sent were 800 x 600 and only around 300kb. So don't understand it. I have come to the conclusion I wasn't meant to enter this competition. I sent them an email and the reply was they are out of the office until MON the 6th:(

Agree that the 2nd is a lot better than the winner, but would have voted for the chimp

Is there a future competition soon, possibly with a Canon as grand-prise?
