Well done peter - nice 1 third of a pint left:)

Peter Waites 29-04-14 19:10

Cheers Derek - subtle wasn't it?
I guess if Graham agrees I should set the next one according to convention. But first: thanks to all who voted in the comp. especially to those who voted for me.
I voted for Graham!
I'll have a think and set one up soon.

DigiDiva 29-04-14 20:12

Well done to both winners, great entries. Awaiting new theme and I must try harder next time.

graham harcombe 29-04-14 20:28

Haha... and I voted for you Peter. I'd be pleased if you would set the next competition. And well done on your image.

Graham

Well done Peter, I await the next challenge & will probably use my camera and not my phone camera....unless something springs into view?

Tugboat 30-04-14 10:28

congrats Peter, well done...will put on my thinking cap and try to do better for the next challenge.

John&me 30-04-14 14:29

congrats Peter, well done on the shot

Peter Waites 01-05-14 09:26

Thanks folks - new challenge is up and running (or cycling!)

Ups & Downs time...

Up - watching windmills windmilling - I liked the idea of this shot but for me there is too much blank space. I think I'd have been tempted to focus on the family on the bench and the windmills in their immediate vicinity.

Down - Mist morn - somehow my eye keeps flitting between the ironwork on the left & the buildings in the background on the right. I wonder if moving to the right & shooting looking over the sea with the ironwork scroll on the right hand third might have produced a stronger image.

As always - JMHO guys

Behind the scenes...
  • Buy one extra special chocolate cake
  • cut it into 2/3s & 1/3 & arrange on two plates
  • decide that the 1/3 slice is too big so cut it in half & get extra plate
  • decide it looks better with just crumbs on one of the plates
  • eat slice of cake
  • take photo

DigiDiva 03-05-14 23:49

DigiDiva 03-05-14 23:50

My behind the scenes was 'Buy a massive lens, lug it miles, and only end up with a grey squirrel' lol
