Well blow me down - That was a surprise - there was others I thought would have beat me easily - Thank you guys:) What do I do now - I have a subject in mind
|
Well done Grassface.

Ups & Downs
Up - Graham's - From Red to Purple - Nice shot, nice composition but for me I would have liked to have seen a bit more sharpness & a bit more DoF I think. Down - Grassface's - Flowers in a Bottle - I'm not normally a fan of square compositions but I think it works really well here. Lovely soft colours, great detail & sharpness & I like the fact that the bottle is just off centre. My only suggestion would be, assuming it was shot in RAW, a bit of highlight recovery to bring back the detail in the burnt out tips of one or two petals, but overall a great shot & worthy winner. As ever, JMHO guys |
Congratulations Grassface - well done.

Nice one Grassface - congratulations on a fine shot. Thanks to all who entered for a nice mix of shots.
|
Well done, a very pleasing shot. I particularly liked the use of the coloured background complimenting the flowers
|
Cheers guys - Clive I'm not that sure I have the knowlege to muck around in gimp to do as you suggested - yet. Bought a new computer and having trouble adjusting to Window 8.1 - is it crap or am I toooooooooo old for changes? :)
