Time to Vote
A nice selection of quality and varied subject matter good luck |
thank you for the votes, I will start up a new thread shortly...
I am having an operation (carpel tunnel) on my hand next week so might not be back on the computer for a while, unless I can use my left hand to type!! |
A perfect candid capture, it evokes (in me anyway) childhood memories. A well deserved win and I would have voted twice for this had I been allowed - please post this into the gallery so I can add to my favorites
|
Congrats Trena. Lovely shot and as Grassface says it takes one back.
|
Well done Trena - a very good shot. Best of luck with the operation .... will you need a left handed camera while recovering??:D;)
|
Congratulations Trena - hope all goes well with your operation and you will not be out of action for too long - best wishes. Maureen.
|
Well done Trena - it had the arrhh! factor

Ups & Downs
Up - Robski's - Love Hate. A great idea & certainly plenty of contrast. I think still life shots like this can be really difficult as small changes to the composition can make a big change to the end result. I found the two balanced tiles jarred a bit. I'd have been tempted to try it with LOVE spelled out all on the horizontal leading towards the jar, rotated the jar clockwise about 45 deg so that the face of it was into the image, & then had HATE as a vertical word reading down, again slightly angled into the image, to act as a stop for the eye. Down - Marydoll's - The Arcadia. Great contrast, like the sky, but for me the image as it stands is more about the tree than the Arcadia. I'm not normally a fan of square crops, but I think this might be a case where it would work, cropping off the left to put the building on the bottom right third and reducing the dominance of the tree. As ever folks - JMHO |
my up was Peter's, beside the sea, fine composition, maybe just a little too bright.
down- Himself's supermoon , certainly fitted the high contrast theme, I hope to catch the next supermoon when it comes. I have started a new thread for the next challenge...ABSTRACT |
Super shot and beautifully candid. Best wishes for recovery after your op :-)

Lovely shot, a deserved winner
