Older Sigma Lens

I need help would an older sigma eos fit lens work on a dslr even un-chipped and used as a manual lens. Its a sigma 90mm macro lens.

Christine,

Nikon mount I understand, but not Canon. Check this link to see if it makes any sense http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-manual-lenses/

Thanks Don this is the lens. Sigma 90mm f2.8 Macro lens – Canon EF fit but doesn't know whether it would work with digital. I thought it may still work but only in manual if unchipped. Shame:(

You now have me looking up the Canon lens mounts. :D :D

Post a pic of the mounting end as that may help.

Well, as with all un-chippable (is that a word?) Sigma lenses, you may be able to use it at full aperture but, in all tests of this lens it wasn't that good until stopped down to about F8

Why can't they keep to one set of electronic mounts and have done with it, there are some great lenses out there for easy pickings, its sad.
