That annoying advertising banner
Hey, I need some help. How do I turn off that annoying advertising banner? I've had to have my laptop reconfigured recently and didn't get the banner before so I know it's possible to turn it off but this is something that Duncan previously did for me without telling me how. I'm pretty sure it's something in the laptop set-up rather than just specific to WPF. Any ideas?

I await instructions!
I've got a Mac ... wonder if it will be any different from a PC or is yours a Mac too? |
Debbie - if you are using Firefox try https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir.../adblock-plus/
or for other browsers http://www.floppymoose.com which also has for Mac instructions |
Thanks Clive, the add-on for firefox worked for my laptop and I can now browse without the ads :)

Hi Guys,
you need to be careful...AdBlock is great, and does what it says on the tin, but you may be breaking the Terms of Service of the forum. I know that is the case with my forum hosts...the ads PAY for a free form, you see? So, Adblock use, whilst not traceable particularly, is not "allowed" in many cases. Hope that helps |
