charles, give iridient developer a try, it'll convert the fuji's crazy raw file to a more usable .dng file which you can use in your favorite raw converter without sacrificing the image quality. it just adds in one extra step to your workflow. the free trial watermarks your images, but you can see a big difference. i think it's $30 usd for the windows license.

I've got an X-pro 2 and RawTherepee and Darktable both convert my RAW files, and are both free. I use Affinity Photo, which also converts the Fuji files - it costs £50.00, but suits my photography.

I use Adobe DNG converter to convert the RAW files to DNGs and then process in Lightroom. I didn't like SilkyPix either and like to be able to use Lightroom for all my processing.

Thanks for the info on alternative developers, I will have a look at them.
I had lightroom 6 as a freebee with my baby Leica 114 ( AKA lumix) but after about a year it just stopped working. Charles |
