Save as Baseline Standard or Optimised?

I've just been asked the above question.

I have always used Baseline Standard, as a few years ago there was incompatibilities with Optimised with certain Browsers/Software. I don't think this applies anymore.

What are your thoughts and which do you use, I doubt anyone is using "Progressive" for forum use.

I never bother changing that setting I keep it as Standard. I think it safer to leave as standard just in case.

This is what it says in the help file for the settings.

Format OptionsSpecifies the format of your JPEG file. Baseline (“Standard”) uses a format recognized by most web browsers. Baseline Optimized creates a file with optimized color and a slightly smaller file size. Progressive displays a series of increasingly detailed versions of the image (you specify how many) as it downloads.Note: Not all web browsers support optimized and Progressive JPEG images.

I always save as progressive using 5 scans. On the web the image will load a low res version immediately and result in a faster ultimate display because of the lower file size.
