Converting Old 35 MM Slides

2 Attachment(s)
A couple of years ago I converted all of my old slides to digital. Images that looked pretty good as slides certainly lost it as digital. I didn't have PS available then but now I do, I've started to look at some of the old images to see if they can be saved.
Here's a before and after example of one that I've worked on a bit including running it through Picture_cooler. Any suggestions as to how or if I could still improve it.
I'd really like to get rid of the "glossy" look along his back.

That sure is one sick looking sheep, it would probably look better in a stew!!
I think your "improved" image has way too much contrast, tried working on it but the res is too low. If you would like to post a larger image or mail me one it would be interesting to have a go.

Gerry.

Exactly! And a wild Mountain Goat at that. It certainly is a bad moult though.

The first picture is a scan of the original 35 mm slide simple reduced in size.

Hey, should have put my glasses on; feeling a bit sheepish now.
