Cheap Printer/Scanner/Card Reader

http://www.orderbg.com/images/HP%20P...rt%20C3180.jpg

I just bought this printer today at a cheap price of £39, it has a built in scanner/photocopier and a card reader for your memory cards.

Ive had a few scanners before but the one this came with is extremly good value for money, infact the whole piece is.

So if your looking for a cheap setup, this is a great option

One of the main things when buying a printer, is to find out the cost of the consumables, HP cartridges are expensive, they are also chipped. It can be false economy to buy cheap printers.

A lot of manufacturers 'give away' the printers and make the loot on the cartridges - like Alan has said, HP cartridges tend to be more expensive because they have more built-in to the cartridge than, say, Epson. The result is that there are loads of very cheap Epson compatibles on the market but not so with HP. Having said all that this still looks a very good buy at £39.

Here in the States I bought a new Canon Pixma iP1600 for just under $30.
The Canon replacement cartridges (2) run about $40 per set .
As PC Magazine noted, the first truly disposable printer.
Fortunately , off brand cartidges are available at a reasonable price and are satisfactory.
I bought it because it was rated highly by the Magazine and other reviewers, even at that price. So far so good: it runs off a decent photograph.

Best,

Had a couple of Lexmark printer, scan, copy units in a few days ago. with discounts went for £14.99 each
Lexmark cartridges on the otherhand are a bit more expensive to replace than most!
So many cheap printers are easier to bin and buy new rather than buy cartridges.
Ironic in a supposed 'eco' freindly world!
