Lightroom 4.1 or Elements 11?

I'm already using Elements 10, just wondering what I'm missing out on on the latest version of Lightroom. They both seem to be priced pretty much the same, is one more suited to certain types of photo editing than the other?

Presumably RAW files will open automatically in camera raw 7.4 as they do in Elements 10, or does the lightroom use a different set up?

Your thoughts greatly appreciated!!

Matt

Elements is photo editing software, Lightroom is a RAW convertor and cataloguing software.

I believe that there is far more information to be taken into consideration than has been expressed by Kwanon. Try this site for a full breakdown...

I use Lightroom as part of my workflow. It is a great way to organise and edit a lot of photos quickly. It has great editing tools, but I use it with cs5 as there are things I'd prefer to do in photoshop. Like cloning and running actions.

They are slightly different tools really, but I guess you pretty much could use Lightroom exclusively.

I believe elements doesn't have curves. Lightroom does and would be a cheaper way of you getting that control.
