K10 with Sigma 170-500 PROBLEM!

I'm having a problem with the K10 sometimes not "reading" the F* information from the lens. If I change my grip/the balance of the camera, it comes back but when shooting at speed I'm getting alot of black shots. Has anyone come across this problem before?
I have a terrible feeling that it's going to be very expensive!

I guess the question is best to be answered by Mrs or Mr Y but as a general practice;
Have you cleaned up the contact pins?
Did you try a different lens?
Is the lens body coupling firm?

Neither myself, nor Debbi have had this experience with any of our lenses, but then we don't use monsters like the 170-500. Sassan's suggestions are sound. I would suspect the "Is the lens body coupling firm?" bit to be the most relevant. Is this something new that has developed or has it always done this? I'd query it with Sigma and send it back under warranty if necessary.

Thanks again
