Help needed on RawShooter essentials 2006

1 Attachment(s)
Hi to all;
I am running RawShooter essentials 2006 on two PCs to view and edit my RAW pictures. No problem with my laptop but on desktop when trying to open a RAW file picture is divided into 4 sections and various colors. Can't do any edition or to combine the component by Channing the parameters.
Anyone with any suggestion as to what is happening?

Sassan I am having the same problems, I can input raw files from my 300D and 350D but not my 30D. It doesn't seem to be reading the files correctly, unfortunately there won't be any updates since adobe took over.

Saphire; The funny thing about my condition is that the same file opens well and is editable on one computer but not on the other. So I may conclude it is not just lack of a plug in etc, and I am suspecting some hardware incompatibility probably. It drives me crazy.

Chris I uninstalled and re-installed it 3 times, twice after a fresh download and restarting the windows. No luck here...:(

Do you have the correct driver in place for your graphics card, try updating it.

nirofo.

Thanks very much ollieholmes. Here is a LINK to anyone else how may be interested. Nikon gives a free trial for one month and expect a $99 for activation thereafter, that I fee too expensive. In fact if I was to pay, probably I would go for "Bibble" that is $69 and very much closer to my favorite Rawshooter.

As Saphire said it, unfortunately this merges of big companies really works agings consumers (And the free products). An almost deja vu is the "Netscape" web navigator that greedy AOL bought it, just to kill it...:eek:

I am terribly sorry for what I hear and condolence to all photographers. Well may be soon you see the true light C O M M I N G T H R O U G H T H E " L " C L A S S glass and we'll see you back where all good photographers should be...You have heard that old stone age idiom "Friends won't let Friends shoot but with Canon"...:D

BTW the Canon's included software "Digital photo professional vr 2.1" does work and let me do the bare necessities with the raw including converting it to jpg but I need to work more on Rawshooter before giving up. Will post any info if get one and mean while thank you guys for your input dearly.

I think you are right on it nirofo. I probably need to flush my BIOS first as this is a rather older model motherbord. Will look the video card update too. THX.

sassan 04-09-06 08:25

OK to flush the bios I need to boot with update on floppy drive that my PC does not have so temporally this is halted till either I upgrade into a new motherboard cpu (AMD dual core 64) that I just got, or find one floppy to be installed, now looking at kind neighbors trash for an old pc...
BTW while checking of RAW readers I encountered a new software that does enhancement including reading RAW that is in beta version and developer is willing to give full license for those how like to test it LINK.
