Memory Lane
Isn't it funny how we forget the images taken over the years!
Last night I was invited to a function at the local rugby club, I began to look at the team photos on the wall to see if anyone jumped out, sadly no distant family members, but I did recognise one or two of the junior teams from my school days. (One guy went on to have a cap for Scotland in a six nations game a few years back). I digress, anyway during the course of the evening an old friend commented on a photo she'd recently lost of her husband, that I had taken about 20-25 years ago. I decided today to see if I could find the negative and possibly get it re-printed for her. Not only did I find one that negative, but to my amazement one of the team photos on the wall at the rugby club was one I'd taken back in my school days for them! Even more astounding were pictures of a new bridge being laid across a local river, I don't recall this event either! Has anyone else done this? |
I've not had that happen but I have found quite often with old photos is that the background becomes more interesting than the subject, bad example but I have showed my eldest photos of when he was a baby and he has said "cor did you really have wallpaper like that?"
That's my the main reason for not being in favour of blurring backgrounds. Mick |
