What a nightmare contraption that looks!...
The diffusion might not be quite as effective as your link looks, but I much prefer the stofen unit that lives on my flashgun (on the very rare occasion i use flash!)

Agree there Joe. Promo pics. The outdoors one raises a question. More than a single light source other than flash in this one. Check the hall floor as well. Main light well to the left of camera.

Not convinced to the point I don't think I'll even bother with a DIY job.

Don, unfortunately I can't find the old reversing magnifier to give the theory a try, so it maybe a while before I post a prototype.:(
