How did the Fireworks go ???

Just a few more of the firework display - comments please.

For me, the fifth one is the best. It's frame filling, very little of the burst has been cropped off, the lighting is nicely balanced and the reflection off the water adds texture and interest. The others lack some of the above qualities which make the image lose some impact. It would help judge things if the pictures were bigger.

Just my two penneth.

Thanks for that Duncan, I can see what you mean and agree - I'll post some larger ones to the Gallery soon

Andy

You must have been considerably further away than I was for the ones I posted as all mine were taken at 24-28mm

The exif has been stripped - what shutter speed/f stop/ISO were you using?

Hi Clive, I was using a Dx2 with 70-200 f2.8 on a tripod across the bay from the pier. The shutter speeds were variable from 1/4 to 1/10 sec, f2.8, and I set +0.3 ev. ISO 800. The focal lengths used were between 130 and 200 mm.
