ACDsee Pro2
Hi! Everyone,
Anyone got any comments on this 'Toolbox'. Just had a look & at £62 looks OK. What do the pro's think? Regards, Abi;) |
Hi Abigail, I cannot help you much as I use Apple Macs, but from the blurb it seems to be aimed at volume sorting with some editing features thrown in. I would wait to see what others have to say and I know there are many good PC programs out there - some I think you may find are free. In the mean time I suggest you "google" the program and then read around the manufacturers site at "blogs" and other peoples comments other than their own.

Hi Abigail. I find myself agreeing with Andy, when I last used the program it was not a bad file browser/image viewer but there were plenty of free programs did the job just as well. Unless it has changed dramatically (into say a good image editor type program) then I can't see how they can justify the price. Hopefully someone with more details will post here.

Thanks Andy & Derek. I have had a look & downloaded their free trial. It doesn't appear to have anything more than Picasa2 but it does show everything as per date & alphabet. I think I'll wait a while & see what I can do with it?

Have to say, if you're going to spend £60, then you'd be better off buying Adobe Photoshop Elements. It would give you everything that ACDSee gives you plus a far more capable editing package.
