Another bargain to be had

Anyone who has hummed and hah'ed over getting a monitor calibrator for a while has no excuse any more. Wilkinsons are doing the basic Pantone Huey for £50.

If you use a dual screen setup then you're better off getting the Huey Pro, but for a basic calibration device, this is a good deal.

I dare say there's lots of people gone and bought very expensive cameras, but a less than high-end monitor to go with it. This gadget will help redress that balance. Screen calibration is an absolute must for people viewing photos on a cheap flat screen panel.

Thanks for that Duncan - I agree - its a good deal on a fairly essential piece of kit.

I used to be able to calibrate my CRT monitor fairly accurately by eye as compared to calibration by instrument, not so my LCD monitors, I find I need to use my ColorVision Spyder fairly regularly. The difference it makes is amazing, it's worth every penny to be confident that the colours you see on the screen are as close to correct as you can obtain from an electronic image.

I have relented and ordered the Pantone Huey Pro.
I am always fiddling with the colors and brightness on my two monitors because I am not sure if they are correct, now hopefully I can get on with just editing.
