Nikon d50 to d90 and I'm lost

After 5 years of using the d50 I have now purchased the d90. Looks like it will be a wonderful camera. That's if I ever learn my way around it.

My one most important question at the moment is I alway want the center focus box to come up when I half-way depress the shutter release. Is this not possible with this camera? If it is possible, could someone explain in extremely simple terms how I can set the camera for this. Thanks.

Edited to say I switch between Aperture Priorty and Manual and seldom use the preset modes.

A bit of research called for so it may take me a bit of time, but I am on the case for you.

This should hopefully answer your question. I have done it as a graphic so you can save it and print it off. Lots easier that way. :)

I have not had hands on with the D90 but I hope this solves your problem.

Glad it worked. I got Stevie to read through it before posting. If she had difficulty understanding then it was a re-do, but she was happy and it seems so are you. ;) :)

Happy to have a go at any more when you feel the need arise.
