Picture Cleaning
 

I dont know if this has been mensioned , if so my apologies and can t=you direct me to the right forum

I have a black and white picture taken over 50 year a ago with old selotape marking across the upper half

I am wondering what i can do to repair the photo.

Can I ask what is your imaging software? Most imaging software has cloning tools and healing tools. These are the main tools that you will need and it is about experimenting. Also you may have to paint in areas then add grain to make it the same as the image. How about putting the image up for us to look at and see if we can help you along the way?

i am concerned about the original adn wondered what is the best way to clean it without damaging it

by teh way it is of my favourite sister (ones enoug) and me when we were todlers

Well if you can give a site that we can all download it from I am sure there are people who who would relish the challenge and assist you as well. Its a long process if it has sellotape across it, but it can be done. As I said its done with cloning and healing tools mainly, but then you have to paint in areas and add grain to the paint to ensure continuity of the existing image
