Only two choices really - Sigma 10-20 £500 or Canon 10-22 £620 (both prices from warehouse express). the Canon is reckoned to be the better lens - i love mine but you pays your money ...

After much investigation work and advice from this forum I went to my local Jacobs store and tested the Canon and Sigma that Clive suggests above plus the Tokina 12-24 (I think). I ended up purchasing the Canon as in the test shots I did at the store this was the best lens. It is also worth pointing out that I bought the demo lens as the quality of the results from the boxed lens were inferior. Just out of interest I gave the 24-105 L lens a go and the 10-20mm I bought was streets ahead of the L.
So to summarise, what I am saying is that each and every lens will differ. Possibly not massivly but there will be a difference so if you can then do what I did. You may well pay more than at Wharehouse Express but I certainly considered it worth while being able to choose an exact lens.
Hope this helps and enjoy choosing!

Just to add that if you can include some brickwork in your test shots then do so. Aparently it is good for test shots. Also get the store to upload the shots to the PC and zoom right in on some of the features and compare the quality of the shots.
