POTW Panel 2016
 

Happy New Year to one & all on the POTW panel.

I've just updated the rota for 2016 <<<here>>> and a reminder of how it works and the various responsibilities is below. Please remember to PM whoever follows you on the rota to reminding them that they are next in the chair - point 10 below

1. We now have 7 full time members on the panel

   Postcardcv - Peter has suggested that he becomes a reserve, which I think is a great idea. So if any of the regulars can't do 'their week' for what ever reason, PM Peter (and copy me in) & he'll cover for you.
   
   
2. Rota <<<HERE>>> - everyone to please diarise their turns.
3. If you are unable to manage any date for any reason - please pm Peter as above
4. POTW be chosen from all the photos posted in the gallery from 00.01 Sunday through to 24.00 Saturday GMT
5. The person who's turn it is makes their choice on Sunday/Monday
6. Start a new thread 'POTW - dd month yyyy'
7. Quote the title of your chosen image & the name of the member who posted it
8. Give an explanation of why the particular image has been chosen. This can be brief eg. 'I liked the colours' or 'good use of dof' or as detailed as the Selector wants.
9. Post the winning image in the thread see <<<HERE>>> for instructions
10. Check the rota & PM the next POTW Selector reminding them that its their turn next week

Sassan, you have forgotten POTW turn for 17th

Just one question, do we look at all the photos posted here or do we go to a specific gallery to find them?

I find the easiest way is to go to the gallery and select the tag for recent photos/last 14 days. That brings up all potential candidates (plus some extras) and then I go back to the first posting on the previous Sunday and work forward to the last on the current Saturday to make my short list - then you have to make a decision :)
