Not heard of the free download, just a free trial that only lasts 30 days.

I am with you to some extent Harry, I won't be upgrading again, (£50 is a bit steep for an update ) but it is far better than the old free version that is no longer available since DXO took them...

Yesterday I purchased the Nik 3 update, just a heads up about the download.
I am coming from the Apple Mac perspective it may be different for windows.
First it takes 2HOURS and 24 mins to download...
