I never bother changing that setting I keep it as Standard. I think it safer to leave as standard just in case.

I think if you use a lens cap with a small hole then it would have to be domed for maximum light. The flat one will work just as good because it covers the whole front lens element.

Ten minutes later and I have cut the bottom of a white milk bottle and placed it over the front of the lens, took a photo and made it into a custom white balance. It works.:D

Brilliant idea Andy thanks for the link, shame its so expensive though otherwise I would get one straight away its a great idea. I would think the high cost is more than likely is in the lens cap...

Yes Andy it is CS, there is some nice features in the Nik software. This one is my favorite I find if I use it correctly I don't need to do any sharpening.

Thanks Mike you are right it is a bit noisy I will correct that it is so easy to do in the Nik software just turn down the highlight contrast a bit I will add a new ver on the end.
