Not sure how you could do this with a Sony A350, I have had good success with a canon 60mm macro lens, I made a tube out of black card to fit over the lens sandwiched the film between two black cards...

Not bad for your first attempt, ki, not to sure about the close up lenses though, a better one would give you a sharper picture and possibly less purple fringing, you could also sharpen the pictures...

I don’t think exposing longer would increase colour, most people increase colour and whatever in PP “post-processing” what camera do you have and can you post any samples?

I never had a problem last weekend with my 40D and 70-300, but I did feel a little uneasy looking at buildings a terrorist would aim at.
