I wouldn't spend any money on a tripod for the 400 5.6 it is so light. Save your money so you can buy a bigger heavier lens that really needs support :)

I would seriously consider getting a nice sturdy tripod like a Gitzo 1325 and a good head preferably a Whimberly head. It makes a world of difference.

Depending what you’re shooting a hide or bag blind can be very usefully. When I photograph raptors I almost always have to do it from a bag blind or the birds won't come close.
