I'm going to have to disagree with you about that: I have three regularly used batteries for my 40D, the camera (and obviously batteries) were used almost daily, there's always a fully charged...

Solved. I put it in Av mode and then saved those...

Solved. I put it in Av mode and then saved those settings to C1 and the Aperture is saved at f11 with the shutter speed left to Auto - that's exactly how I wanted it. Amazing what a good dump can...

Great minds think alike (and little ones seldom differ ;) ). I came up with that same idea myself whilst sat on the Thunderbox this morning, hopefully I'll find the time to try it soon.
