Joe would probably chuckle at the price for my Nikon F3 body in 1995 @ £1249:00 from EFC the first of the discount warehouses.
I'm chuckling Don, I'm chuckling!
I bought mine s/h....a bit battered, but just before '95 ('90-91 sort of time....just as I started uni'), but it still ranks as the most expensive camera I ever owned.
Good point Don. Many might begrudge camera prices now, but thinking back prices for the F3P and F3T variations also went into orbit! Admittedly, maybe the 'life' of these units were expected to be a little longer than the digi based offerings today?

There's no real margin in new cameras for high street stockists, but I'm thinking some will still do their best to keep the UK recession cash tills ringing. Incidentally, was passing through town today. Jessops had some reasonable offers on, but Mark was after a replacement Billingham. I'm sure the prices of them has increased!!!!!?....I know my back is a little sore from carrying around my 445. could do with a smaller one (like a hadley pro), but not at those prices!
