Lee, be very, very careful indeed. I wouldn't attempt this unless I really knew what I was doing. Flashguns have components that are charged up to very high voltages. They can do a lot of damage to you. You can do yourself some serious damage with the internals of a flashgun. I'd get the bits together and take them to a repairer.
