You cant "convert" a RAW to a tiff as such - just do what you do now but instead of saving to jpg - save as tiff - thats it
The advantage is that there is no compression in a tiff file so no quality is lost. Same goes for saving as a psd ... which is what I use but I dont know theres a lot of different in tiff or psd
