Pulling The image into Photoshop the distant Horizon is spot on. This part of the beach at Hastings has an extremely steep rise from the sea and then a gentle slope where the boats are beached. I think Geoff's skill has been to get a handsome image out of what can be described as a junk yard of rusty old towing winches and tractors, broken boxes of tatty netting and other boating junk strewn over several hundred metres.
