Still running W.7 Home Premium but have W.10 waiting to install.
Let the thing breeze thro' auto updates yesterday (as I have done for about four years). Restarted the machine and blow me no graphics just the big ugly stuff you see in safe mode

When I looked the Windows update included a variety of items for Nvidia which reminded me of the problems previously described here.
Not a big job to restore the system to pre-update. But I thought I'd share this.
