Default Recived my 2x convertewr...Surpise!
Nirofo, steered me onto a Kenko AF2x Teleplus MC7 conversion lens. I received it today and to my surprise I had full AF with my low end Nikkor 70-300mm f4-5.6 lens.
All the websites I browsed said it couldn't be done.

Thanks Nirofo, you saved me a lot of money. I was ready to buy a more expensive lens. Here's a couple shots taken with the conversion lens.

My picture taking skills still need a lot of work, but I'm learning more, and more.
