I bought a Canon 20D + 17-85 Is from Digital Rev in one of their auctions that specifically advertised "No VAT or Import - we will refund if you are charged" The deal included a spare battery, UV filter and camera bag (albeit a cheap one)

The camera arrived in 4 days with everything that had been promised. I was charged £40 duty which was refunded within 24 hours of my emailing a scan of the reciepted invoice to them.

I recon I saved ~£200 taking into account the complete package over what I would have paid at warehouseexpress

I'm now in the market for a 70-300 IS and taking into account the postage and insurance warehouse express are £7 cheaper but, and heres the rub, warehouseexpress (and every other uk bases online site) are out of stock & have a string of backorder as long as your arm. DigitalRev have confirmed that they have the lens in stock and available for immediate shipping.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Digital Rev again, but only in one of their "VAT refund guaranteed auctions" - check the auction text carefully because it doesn't apply to all. Also check the cost of shipping & insurance and then check UK sites becuase for some items there is very little difference
