Thank you once again for your advice, which I have found extremely helpful. I am now almost certain that I will go ahead and purchase this lens, but want to make a few more final checks first.
I was interested in the 100-400mm, but did not like the push/pull zoom, preferring the more conventional twist zoom. That lens must be due an update soon, so just want to check that first.
