, not that I had really got round to the shape issue. One thought though is to see if attatching a filter ring to the end will allow for colour effect through using old photo filters. Although the party straws have a colour stripe I don't see any effect of them in the light.
Black straws .......... I have not seen those but quite logical to mimick proper honeycomb.
