Lello, I just used a cardboard roll, the sort that carpets are rolled on its quite large. I did have a little vignetting with the 50mm lens without the extension tubes so had to push the ring closer to the body unfortunately the rings gets sloppy at that point because the lens is thinner, so had to hold the ring to keep it level. I may put a little packing in to hold things more central..
