Firstly Welcome to WPF.
I cannot really comment on your printer but the photos produced by any DSLR camera will require post image processing in a software package such as Photoshop. I encourage you to find a cable (you may already have one if the printer has a USB connection) and print from photoshop after the processing.
I am confident your photos have not been lost from your older computer, they may still be on the hard disk. Could the disk be removed and tried in another computer or external caddy?
