Default Photographer Safety

As photographers , we all want to get that perfect shot . However , it appears just lately that some photographers have taken , getting the " perfect shot " to far . Iv'e just read in a daily news paper that a tourist was attacked by a bison in the Yellowstone national park in the USA . The Australian tourist was attacked after agitating the animal by taking pictures . There was also sadly the death of Katherine Chappell , mauled to death by a lioness at a lion park in South Africa . She ALLEGEDLY had her window open taking pictures of the lioness . I know in this country our health and safety is second to none and we , the visitors , are protected but I'm a firm believer of finding out about the subject , it's behaviour and movements before the attempt of photographing it . As the holiday season is approaching and people will be visiting other countries to get that "perfect shot " , please take some time to think of how you will get it and think of your safety and respect the animals your photographing
