That second image is absolutely fantabulous
. I have seen tremendous results using focus stacking and though I have mixed feelings about using it, I am amazed at the results of stacking done well. It certainly does offer a wonderful DOF which of course wouldn't be possible from a single image taken with a high mag lens. Thanks for sharing.......Alex
