Haha. Yes she is cute. And comes always with a good question that you wanted to know.

Anyways its almost here.... Few more hours only left.

Few things or possibly, only thing you want to remember:
- Moon light is nothing but reflected sun light so all that applies to sun light works here. Important to remember: "Golden Sunny Rule of F16" That is at F16, 1 over chosen ISO, is the right shutter speed! This works best for Full moon (Before or early phase of eclipse).
- Once eclipse runs deeper, you need to find that sweet spot by trial and error. In fact you can have more of solid moon shadow (Umbra) or partial shadow (Penumbra) (LINK), depending on your EV settings.
- Then during full eclipse, Light is incredibly dim. So be ready to open the F stop full and use ISO of 3200 or whatever gives you acceptable image quality.
And very important point to remember, No matter what you do, full eclipse moon (Red or Bloody Moon) is going to be somehow blur and I'm yet to see one clear sharp image (If not tampered in pp).
- If you don't have a good long focal length lens to isolate moon for full size moon image, you are NOT out of luck. Just use that normal lens 50mm or less and then try to get camera fixed throughout the eclipse, when viewing a synergistic foreground for you image, then have multiple images at fixed time period, say every five minutes or less (This is the longest eclipse of century, lasting 103 minutes total, so divide that by number of images you want and you have the right elapse time) and the collage you can make at the end, using one of the foreground sight, is going to be something very interesting, even though it will not show the detail of moon, but the change of shadow and color, then the elevation over the horizon that is very charming.

to some sample images.
And in case you have that long lens, and opt to go for moon portraits! then you can play later to show the best Collage that can show your work at best and sky is the limit. So lets see your image, if you are the lucky one that can see & picture it and keep the fingers crossed for devil i.e. "Clouds".
