It will affect users in that there will be no further development. So it ain't gonna work with any new cameras. That means I'm likely to have to swap to something else sometime in 2007

What will that something else be? It's not likely to be Lightroom if Adobe's pricing policy is anything like it is with Photoshop. So I'm looking for a decent replacement now.

This looks like a good time for other raw processors to grab a big market share. All they need do is announce a decent crossgrade offer to users of RSP to move to their product (Bibble, C1, etc.).
