I was in Leeds Waterstones today and saw a nice book of photographs of Leeds.

Leeds - A photographic Journey - Tony Quinn priced at £6.96 reduced from £20. Very good value I also saw 2 other books I would like to own. Ansel Adams Landsacpes of the American West at £25 (from £50) but available on Amazon for £17.97 Ansel Adams and Top 100 birding sites of the World (lots of beautiful photographs of birds and places I will never see Birds £35 Waterstones, £22.50 on Amazon. Any other Xmas recommendations?

Martin Evening's Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3/CS4 (as appropriate) for Photographers are heavy going to begin with, but well worth persevering with. They will improve your photos.

If you want inspiration, then checkout: Landscape Photographer of The Year Volume 2. Simply stunning and what's great is the pictures are taken by pro's and amateurs alike.
