When selecting a user defined shutter speed, check the aperture the auto metering can accommodate. If "LO" is displayed (Nikon Knowledge) this will result is a dark image.

James,
Could you please explain a bit more? What mode of operation are you setting the camera to? Which camera is it, and what is being displayed in the viewfinder and/or on the top plate LCD? Regards, Duncan |

Shutter priority mode and its a Fuji S5600. A normal picture is displayed in the viewfinder/screen but when the shutter is realeased its just a dark/black image.

James,
Are there any 'blinking' warnings in the viewfinder? Does the Fuji tell you which settings (shutter speed, ISO and aperture) it's going to use before you press the button? Are any of these figures displayed in the viewfinder? If so, are they blinking when taking pictures under the conditions that give you the black pictures? What kind of conditions are you taking these pictures in? Bright daylight, dark cellars, somewhere in between? |
